Rolling resistance
Every rotation flexes the tire, and that flexing consumes energy. Compounds and constructions designed to reduce it exist across most manufacturers' EV-focused lines, usually trading a little dry grip or tread life in return.
Inflation pressure
Underinflated tires flex more and cost range immediately. Check pressures cold against the placard in your door jamb. This is free and it works.
Wheel and tire size
Bigger wheels with wider, heavier tires generally cost efficiency compared with smaller, narrower setups on the same car. If range matters more to you than looks, staying with the smaller wheel option is the honest recommendation.
Tread design and condition
Aggressive tread patterns and worn, damaged or unevenly wearing tires all make the car work harder. Alignment plays into this too — a car fighting itself uses more energy.
